Lafana Institute Of Hope Serving the Children of Fauché, Haiti
THANK YOU MARK & VASILE FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP DURING 2015-2017!
From 2015-2016 Mark and the Strizu Family, the Negrilla Family, and Vasile built bunk beds for the childrens' dormitory, and provided food for the Lafana kids. All of them also put in solar panels in 2015, after the fire in December. During 2017 Vasile helped Lafana by putting a new roof on the house which was almost destroyed by the Christmas fire of 2015. He put in a new water well and pump, and gave us a brand new generator. Vasile also provided school supplies, uniforms and food for the children: rice, beans, canned salmon, pasta and much more. And we give a BIG THANKS to MARK STRIZU for making it possible for Vasile to get to Haiti!
Missionary Trip to Les Irois in the Western Mountains of Haiti
In December of 2016 we traveled by jeep and then on foot to the community of Les Irois in Haiti's western mountains. You can see the impoverished conditions the people are enduring. In photos 15-18 you can see us on the way to a small well which can be reached only on foot by very steep and dangerous mountain pathways. The locals had to help us along the trails to keep us from falling down into the steep ravines.
Back in Fauché, we saw some of the children injured because of Hurricane Matthew.
These are pictures from our garden. Haiti Vision provided the seeds for us. We teach the children how to plant and grow several different types of vegetables. Thank you Haiti Vision! (March 2012)
